The Playhouse Theatre is situated just one road from Victoria Embankment on the River Thames. It is located in central London and nearby to the hustle and bustle of Trafalgar and Leicester Squares, just a 5 minute walk away.

The address to the theatre is:

Northumberland Avenue

By tube…

The Playhouse Theatre is located on Northumberland Avenue, with the nearest tube station to the theatre being Embankment just 100 metres away which is on the District, Circle, Bakerloo and Northern Lines. Charing Cross on the Northern and Bakerloo Lines is also nearby (250m), and it is a mainline railway station as well, for those travelling by train.

By car…

There are numerous parking options available for those who will be driving to the theatre. There are single and double yellow lines on the road of the theatre itself, and there is a Westminster City car park in Spring Gardens, Trafalgar Square, which is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the theatre. To park here, expect to pay £17 for up to four hours. There is a taxi rank at Charing Cross station and the Embankment, for those who wish to get a taxi.

  2. Hello, my friends and I might have to come to the theatre directly from the train station. Is there somewhere we can store our luggage at the theatre if we don’t have time to go to our hotel first?

    1. Hi Vicki,

The Playhouse Theatre does have a cloakroom which can store large items. We cannot guarantee that they will be able store large amounts of luggage.

    1. Hi Joe,

The End of Longing running time is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes including an interval.

      Kind Regards,
